Chapter:1 Story of Maneknath cave
Baba Maneknath was 15th century legendary Hindu saint who lived on the banks of Sabarmati river near present city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
Ahemad shah who was the founder of Ahmedabad city.
Ahemad Shah had been looking for a place to build his new capital in the centre of his domain. And he started to constructed near sabarmati river where Baba Maneknath lived.
Baba Maneknath wove a mat during day while the fort walls were constructed, he then unweaved the mat at night, magically crumbling down the walls. When this was discovered, he was invited to prove his powers to Ahmed Shah, by putting himself into a kettle. When he did, Ahmed Shah sealed the openings of the kettle. On the other account he helped the king to locate the site from where the construction of fort started. Under his advise the architect of city walls Ahmed Khattu changed the layout of city.
He was buried alive or took samadhi on the river island when Sabarmati river was passing through the city under Fernandez Bridge. The first quarter of the city, Manek Chowk, named after him and the memorial Temple is situated there. The first bastion of the fort named after him, called Manek Burj, situated at the east end of Ellis Bridge.
Baba Maneknath manifested in the cave.

There was a giant who interrupted with Baba Maneknath and torture villagers too, so Baba maneknath decided to kill him, but once he failed and then he took help of Devi Hinghraj Mata, And help of both they finally killed(burnt) giant.

Chapter: 2 Story of Trek
I started my trek by train from Navsari to Ahmedabad with my two friend. From Ahmedabad we were going to Maniknath cave located in Latol near Danta in Banaskantha district by bus with 20 colleague and Prashant Shah and Parth Patel was our guide.
We Started our journey from Ahmedabad after that we took small break at Jalaram Temple Visnagar for breakfast then continue towards Maniknath Cave. We reached there at 10:30, and after our guids instruction we started climbing. The climbing of trek was rocky hill and full of grits. So climbing was slippery too. In our trek age of 5 year children to 65 year man also there.
We reached our trek at height of approx 2000ft, at that point under rock we had our lunch and 20mins of rest after that we climbed our trek’s highest point known as bhairav peak(~2150ft). At that point we gave tribute to our brave soldier. And after spending some time(i felt the positive vibes during trek and at the top point) return to downstairs with bundle of happiness. After that we visited cave of Baba Maneknath and also visited Baba Maneknath’s Temple. They(saint) offer us Prasad(dinner). And then we returned towards home. Finally we proudly completed trek with the help of guide and all friends.
My personal suggestion is to visit this place once in life.

This was very amazing tour of Taranga Hill climbing of Maneknath cave Track. Furthermore, it’s memorable moments in my life. This is very big achievement.
